Deputy Secretary General of Thailand Board of Investment (BOI)
As the Deputy Secretary General of Thailand Board of Investment (BOI) I have been involving with the investment perspective with the BOI throughout 30 years. My education background was in the Economics and Public Management. I was earned a Bachelor degree in Economics from Thammasat University Bangkok, Thailand and Master degree in Public Management, National University of Singapore, Singapore (Lee Kuan Yew’s scholarship). I was also attended the Lee Kuan Yew’s Fellowship Program in Public Management at Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University, U.S.A.
After that, I have been serving at Thailand Board of Investment (BOI) in the Project Analysis Division since 1982.
In 1993, I served as an Assistant Economic Counselor (Investment) at Thailand Board of Investment, New York Office, U.S.A. which was responsible for attracting and promoting foreign direct investment from US into Thailand.
After my return from U.S.A., I was engaged in the Planning and Development Division, Investment Services Center before earned the position as a Director of International Affairs Division, Investment Facilitation Division, and Investment Strategy and Policy Division respectively for around 6 years. Later on, I was served as a Minister (Economic and Investment), Office of Economic and Investment Affairs at the Royal Thai Embassy in Tokyo, Japan in charge of promoting an investment from Japan.
In 2008, I was served as an Executive Director of Investment Promotion Bureau 1 which are related to Agro-Industry and Light Industries before got the promotion as a Deputy Secretary General of the Thailand Board of Investment (BOI) in the same year.
