Gerhard Schröder

Former Chancellor of Germany

Mr. Gerhard Schröder was born April 7th, 1944 in Mossenberg, Germany. After completing an apprenticeship and graduating from secondary school, Mr. Gerhard Schröder began to study law and passed the first state examination in 1971. Second state examination in 1976 and admission to practice law. 1980-1986 and 1998-2005 member of the German Bundestag. 1990 election to Minister-President of the State of Lower Saxony. On 27 October 1998, Mr. Gerhard Schröder was sworn in as the seventh Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany. He remained in office until 2005. Mr. Gerhard Schröder is currently Chairman of the shareholders’ committee of the European-Russian pipeline company Nord Stream AG and freelance lawyer in Hannover.
