Xavier Duportet, 29 yo, is a genome architect and a deeptech entrepreneur.
While finishing a PhD in Synthetic Biology at MIT and INRIA, he cofounded Eligo Bioscience in 2014 to develop a new generation of ultra-precise biotherapeutics to battle antibiotic-resistant bacteria and sculpt our microbiome using CRISPR-Cas9. He was named « French Innovator of the year » and « MIT TR35 » by the MIT Technology Review in 2015, « French PhD-Entrepreneur of the year » by the prestigious Foundation Norbert Segard and has been designated one of the « 40 under 40 Young Leaders in Europe » in 2016. More recently, he has been designated one of the « 30 Under 30 by Forbes », a « Kairos 50 Fellow » and a « Technology Pioneer » by the World Economic Forum in 2017.
Xavier is also the founder and president of Hello Tomorrow, a global non-profit organization, operating in 45 countries, which goal is to accelerate the development of advanced technology startups that transform disruptive scientific technologies into products or services to solve societal and industrial challenges
Xavier has been since 2016 a senior advisor on emerging technologies for the French Ministers of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Industry and Economy.
