Co-Founder and Chairman at DayTwo
Mr. Ofek co-founded DayTwo in 2015 and serves as the Chairman. DayTwo has a breakthrough offering in the field of Personalized Nutrition and genetics, based on gut microbiom.
Prior to DayTwo Mr. Ofek founded dbMotion Ltd. in 2004 and served as its Chairman and CEO. dbMotion is a leading Healthcare Technology company that provides a broad set of solutions for Population Health and Analytics, connecting hospitals, care providers and patients.
dbMotion was sold to Allscripts, a leading US healthcare company, in 2013 for $235 Million.
Prior to forming dbMotion Mr. Ofek was involved in small to mid-size startups in the Boston area.
Mr. Ofek was active as a partner in Storage Enterprise Venture, a private equity investment group involved in a number of storage and networking startups.
Mr. Ofek was President of the Customer Experience Management division of NICE Systems, a worldwide leader of multimedia digital recording solutions for business interaction management, where he was responsible for overseeing the strategic direction and global activities of the company.
From 1998 to 2000 Mr. Ofek was Vice President of Enterprise Storage Development at EMC Corporation in Boston, Massachusetts, where he oversaw the development and strategic direction of EMC’s enterprise storage platform (Symmetrix), and was responsible for managing the development division. He joined EMC in 1993, working in various positions in research and development. He was also actively involved in defining and planning the company’s marketing and positioning.
Previously Mr. Ofek held a position at Intel Corporation’s research and development center in Haifa, Israel.
Mr. Ofek holds 82 U.S. & European patents. He has a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology.
